The redesign that future-proofed an AAC innovator

Challenge

Lingraphica is a healthcare company specializing in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and therapy solutions.

Since 1990, their products have empowered users with speech and language impairments (as well as caregivers and speech-language pathologists, or SLPs) to enhance communication, foster connections, and improve quality of life.

Looking toward the future, Lingraphica knew its website no longer supported the company’s vision of growth and innovation. So they partnered with Fratzke’s Website Design & Development Studio to reimagine the company’s digital presence, creating a modern, scalable platform designed for long-term impact.

Digital Benchmark Audit

We began by evaluating Lingraphica’s digital presence using our Digital Benchmark Audit. This involved a comprehensive analysis of their website performance, SEO, content strategy, and user experience, benchmarked against other companies in the AAC sector.

Discovery & Strategy

We led collaborative sessions with key stakeholders to nail down goals, success metrics, and audience priorities. Through these sessions, we gained deep insights into current challenges and expectations from various teams and execs, context that armed us with everything we needed to chart a clear path forward.  

User Journey Mapping

Audience research was translated into journey maps that outlined pathways for SLPs, caregivers, and AAC users, detailing how users navigate digital resources and where decisions happen. Through this work, we identified exactly how to personalize the site experience for each audience.

UI/UX Design

Navigation was reorganized into a simplified sitemap, with content consolidated and labeled for clarity across audiences. Using that approach, which focuses on clarity and speed, we were able to reimagine how users move through the site. The new mega navigation presented key content areas in a simple, frictionless way. And enhanced smart search would instantly deliver the most relevant results to visitors.

Wireframing

Low-fidelity prototypes were developed to visualize structure and navigation flow. Stakeholder feedback shaped the foundation for design development. These wireframes let us test the layout and hierarchy early, making sure we had the optimal flow locked down before we moved onto design.

Frontend Design

Designs were created that aligned with Lingraphica’s brand standards. We combined visual elements with accessibility best practices. And before final approval, we went through multiple iterations and collaborative reviews.This is where we really modernized the digital experience and established consistency throughout the site.

Backend Design

We worked with Lingraphica's website managers to develop a backend framework that streamlined their most common workflows while supporting scalability and SEO. Ultimately, we established a secure, scalable platform on WordPress CMS and integrated HubSpot to connect marketing and sales, streamlining lead management while supporting automation. 

Content & SEO

We worked closely with Lingraphica’s subject-matter experts to ensure technical accuracy. Keyword research guided the structure of headers, metadata, and page content, and on-page best practices were applied consistently across templates. 

Results

Whether a caregiver, clinician, or AAC user, visitors now see content tailored to their journey, creating a sense of discovery and sparking confidence in what’s possible.

In that way, Lingraphica’s new website is a future-ready growth engine. It positions the company for long-term success and honors its mission of empowering people to reclaim their story through effective communication.
